everykind of drugs!! addiction?

Question:
i am using everykind of drugs for 14 years, including legal ones.now i quit illegals for 3 months.it was so easy for me.do u believe authorities who are saying u can't quit by yourself,u will be addicted after 1 or 2 use?i think this is a big lie.guys like me what do u think?

Answers:
I think your right and I speak from my own drug experiences.

Other Answers:
Before you used quit, you used them for 13 years, 9 months without quitting, that has to say something about their addictive qualities. And there are differant types of addictions, such as a simple physcological addiction, where you just grow used to the habit, compared to a serious drug addiction, where certain chemicals act on your brain that convince you that you really need the drug.

I also think this is a lie because i know a person that used drug almost every kind 4 2 yrs and she quit on her own no help!! -katrina

You are extremely lucky to find it easy to quit illegal drugs. Many people struggle their entire lives and in the end succumb and OD, commit suicide or live incapacitated by the craving.

I don't think that addiction is a big lie, and I think that the love and support of a group like NA or AA (as well as the power of the steps themselves) can really help change lives.

Drug addiction is a sad reality and far from being a lie.
Aside of psychological dependence there is a serious physical dependence that must be understood before anyone decides to use drugs for pleasure.
Physical dependence will manifest in a heroin addict within one day of 'non-use' and the same can be said for tranquilizers and many other legal psychothropic drugs.
The addict will become restless and will begin with 'the sniffles'(a runny nose).
Soon after a shaky feeling will come over them (the body)and their skin to their own touch will seem a dull eekie touch.
If the addict has not managed to find and use another dose of heroin, they will then become nauseated and begin into uncontrollable diarrhea.
At this point their trembling will become more uncontrollable and 'chills and shivers' will overtake their body.
They will feel as if the part of the body that is covered (either by sitting or laying down) will be burning and excessively sweating while the unexposed area will be extremely cold.
They will not understand that they are dying a pitiful death. Jose
