Your best bet is abstinence. Your next best thing is condoms. Always use a condom!!
Keep in mind too not all STD's get spread by just sexual intercourse.. it can be spread by oral sex too. And alot STD's don't have visble symptoms. especially HIV.

Haha sorry to burst your guy's bubble but condoms don't protect you from STDs u get it through any genital contact and just if you haven't noticed the condom only covers ur dick that leaves u with ur balls and ur pelvic area which also carries the STD.OK so i know abstinence ain't gonna happen once you start having sex..like the saying says,"once you start, you sure as hell wont be able to stop" so the best thing is for you and the person your "doing" to get tested..and if u ain't got time for that and bust a quickly then i guess the best thing to do then is just look for anything that looks weird and if there's sumtin growing on it,lol obviously its not a good sign, oh and for those that aren't visible and try to sneak up on you..a big sign of an STD is if you start to feel a burning/stinging sensation during sex.
