Can anyone suggest a good home remedy or a good over the counter medicine for eczema?

Evening primrose oil. You can take it internally and also apply it externally. I have personally seen amazing results with this.

it really depends on your skin type
I haven't perused the pharmacy aisles recently. You should be able to get a 1% hydrocortisone lotion (something like Aveeno anti-itch or Cortaid). If you go to a doctor, that's exactly what they'll prescribe first.
If that doesn't work, the doctor will recommend something stronger (that is not available over the counter).

sudocrem is quite good if the ecxema is only mild ,if not see your gp as elacon is brilliant but you can only get it off the doctor
I am an atopic dermatitis patient;I have had atopic dermatitis(eczema) all of my life.My dermatologist used to make up a moisturizing hydro cortisone cream which is now available over the counter. It's Cortaid;if you don't want the moisturizing properties, there is a non-moisturizing formula.
