I understand why habitual people smoke what i dont get is why the young generation so into smoking?

When i started smoking at age 7 it was just to be cool, like hey look at me im smoking a cig. but now that im 24 i have trouble breathing every morning and not in that great of health. its just a bad attraction. i dont blame the cig companies for it, i was a dumb@ss.

They think its "cool" or they get tempted by their friends, it's actually disgusting and bad!!

Kids still think it's cool to smoke. Even with all the information out there telling them not to. It's because they are young and still think they are invincible. Their mind just can't grasp how horrible smoking related illness kills you soooo slowly. They don't see themselves withering away slowly, unable to catch your breath enough to walk to the bathroom. I watched my Gandfather die like this. Too bad there isn't a way to simulate what it feels like so they could see for themselves. That would scare me enough to quit.
