The milk jug is cheap and convienient, but there can be problems. Sometimes the needles can poke through the thin plastic. but if it's all you have, then go ahead and use that.

Why bother with a disposal service if you can get a plastic milk jug and put your used needles in it, recap it when it's full, and throw it away with the rest of the swill? Cheap and effective.

I use either an old jar with a lid or some kind of plastic bottle with a lid.
