We don't do anything in my gym class. We get changed, wait for the gym teacher to come out of his office, play a game for about 10 minutes, then get changed again. Class is only 40 minutes long. Today, we played golf- we each received one ball and by the end of the period we had each gotten to hit our ball 4 times. What a waste of time. Good calisthenics that everyone should be able to do are push-ups and pull-ups by the way. Any more advanced and kids won't be able to do it.

I dunno.

In high school we lifted weights, played volleyball, ran a lot, and just goofed off.

When I took gym as a freshman in high school, our class was 1 hour and 15 minutes long. We typically started class with a 10 minute run around the gym. Many people cut corners or raced each other as we jogged around the gym. After we finished running, we participated in a variety of sports including: soccer, basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, flag football, dodgeball, and a few made-up sports related games. These sports alone gave the class a good dose of exercise.

Thats what I did anyway and students did not want to participate or try hard when it came to plain exercising because it was too boring. Sports liven up the class a lot more.
