Talk to people like you would talk to you mother, respectfully but in a friendly manner. Practice on your friends until you feel comfortable enough in what you are saying and how you are saying it. Well you have an advantage: You are convinced about the product! That's #1 for a good sale. I worked at a cake shop but the cakes did not convinced me, I don't even like cakes but I tried to imagine 'their good traits' and I was a good shop assistant. now imagine if you are convinced of the benefits of the product. then it will be a piece of cake! He, he. Shy? No way, every time you think of yourself as a shy person, bring about the opposite. think of you as a confident person, and act as one! Also the clothes and accesories will excert an influence on the consumers and on you as well since you'll feel more confident. If you have it, flaunt it! :-) Bring about the good sales person inside you! Thats all!
Well, to start things off, you need to look at yourself in a better light to help get rid of any shyness you have. For instance. what is your best feature? you should accentuate the positive stuff about yourself to gain the confidence you need to break away from your shyness.

Think Positive and try to be confident but not too pushy as a sales rep for 17 years I usually work on a 25% succes rate ! Hope this helps
I actually have this book that tells you what a good sales person should do. I don't really remember what the whole thing was, but it is extremely important to know the product. Understand the product like it's life. It is important to sale something that means something to you and if you do not know what you are saling, you are in turn hurting the product brand name. It depends on how much you are willing to invest, in yourself and money. I would try by asking friends and family if they have heard of this product that helps the immune system, has antioxidants, and keeps the body healthy not to mention that it tastes really good. Ask them if they are willing to try and maybe sell it to them at cost. Make sure they try it and maybe get back to them, check and see if they are using it. Another way to do it is give them brochures or mail some and see if you get any response. Put an ad of your product on local clubs, church paper and see other ads and copy their style. They have been in business longer and are still in business so learn to copy successful people and see what works. You may also want to give out samples of what you are selling and tell them if they like it and if it works for them, you will give them a discount for re-order. It's hard to ask people to buy from you, but sometimes you have to ask. Just be prepared with informations and answers to some of the questions they will throw at you. You can't sell a product you know nothing or very little of. Make sure you also use the same product as they will ask you if it works for you or not. You are your best customer. If you can't sell it to yourself, how can you sell it to others?
To measure success, you need to consider the following equation. The first half of the equation is finding the right company, the second half is finding the right people. If you feel you have the right compnay but are still not being successful, then you are not working with the right people!
