Other Answers:
2 to 3 weeks

had it for 3 months only because I did not rest like I should have it and it went on longer than it should. usually only about 3-4 weeks I think.

I thought once you had it, you have it forever.

You will have it for the rest of your life. Although it will remain dormant, But things like stress or working to hard can cause you to relapse and symptoms will come back for a few weeks or months depending on if you have adeqaute amounts of rest and proper nutrition.

it usually lasts for about a month

mono can last for a very long time and can be dangerous make sure you keep in touch with doctor

You have active mono for about 4 weeks depending on how bad you have it.

It always stays in your system and if can re-occur.despite doctors saying it can't. The virus or bacteria.is always in your body.and if you run your body down.it can come up again.but it does become "de-active" after some time.which means you can't spread it unless it is active in your body. I had it 5 years ago and it re-occured 3 times in two years.

Specialist said that kids can have it and you do not know, adults may be laid up for 2-3 weeks at the most but teenagers may have it for months. My daughter is 15 and been sick since January 31st. She was unable to go to school for 10 weeks, slept most of the time with severe pain, now is getting better but has relapses and has to be careful as she tires easily. Time? age/ severity/ health/ all contribute to the final answer

Can be for up to six weeks
