You could use either a soft or hard holding gel and spiral set it with the same rollers they use to do (jheri) jerry curls. You should twist it around the rollers sideways. Then you should sit under a hairdryer til it drys and take the rollers down and you have a spiral set. It should hold well as long as your hair is not too fine in texture. I hope this helps you out.
