there were a lot of growth supplements for growing up kids you can check it out on your pharmacy

Everyone grows at their own pace. So long as his doctor says he is healthy, then you have nothing to worry about at all. He could very well sprout like a weed when he hits puberty like many boys do. So, dont worry about it at all.

Well, many children are small for their age. unless it's something like he's 2 feet tall or something like that, don't worry. So he won't be tall, it's no big deal. That's just the way he is.
There's nothing you can do to increase his height except maybe make sure he gets his veggies and milk, and hope he'll have a growth spurt someday if you're that worried about it.
Just be calm.

Right. I think it's one of those things you can't do anything about. Don't worry - growth spurts happen all the time.

He is only 8!! He has 10 or so more years to grow! I know people that did not start to grow untill about 15 and then he shot up! You should not worrie about this

Growth hormone get tested and advice.

I have a brother who is 5 years old and doesn't like to eat anything! not even junk food! and becuase of this he wasn't growing either, so the dr perscribed to him "infantol vitamin supplement for children and cyprohepatadine. he is actually more hungrier now and has gained height thank god! im so happy

as long as he is healthy, who cares. Not every one has to play basketball

Your anxiety probably affects him. See an Endocrinologist who will probably test his growth hormones levels. That may be your best bet. In the meantime he could wear platform sole type shoes although they are terrible for kids to run in. I won't let my 8 year old daughter wear high healed type shoes as she easily sprains her ankles anyway.

If you're young you just have to be patient but if you have stopped growing then try wearing higher shoes (heels) instead of flats. Also when you were heels wear longer pants so it gives the affect of a long leg and the overall image is you will look and feel taller =)

first of all, good nutrition and exercise are necessary.

you have to look at 3 aspects: 1. parental height, 2. timing, 3. hormone

Parental height can predict your child final height. A general can give you the approximate final height:

Boys: (paternal height + maternal height + 5 inches) then divide by 2

Girls: (paternal height + maternal height - 5 inches ) then divide by 2

2. timing: the earlier the puberty, the child will be taller than his peers early on but ends up short at final height, so a late growth spur may not be so bad after all

3. growth horomone deficiency can be a major factor. If the parents are tall, but the child height consistently fall below 5% in the growth curve, while the weight and head circumference remain within normal range, you need to call your pediatrician and possible refer to endocrinologist.
