Has anybody else had a Hysterectomy? If so, answer this PLEASE!!?

I had a hysterectomy about 4 years ago, and I have to take Hormone pills(premarin 1.25mgs)Well, I get mad real easy, and I just feel stressed all the time, is this normal, or should I tell my doc.? If I do talk with my doc. is there something I could ask him for to help me? Also, I'm only 29 yrs. old!1HELP!

I have had a Hysterectomy years ago but I was fortunate in that I did not have to be on Hormone pills for very long at all. However I was on Premarin for several years when I was younger and as far as I can recall--Yes! It did make me
nervous and anxious.Also after the hysterectomy itself a woman can feel tense and nervous as a Hysterectomy does affect a woman's emotions alot.It acts kind of like Pregnancy does to a woman's emotions as it does mess up your hormones alot. Maybe you need to mention it to your Dr. He may need to adjust your Premarin.

i had a hysterectomy 30yrs. ago. my doctor put me on premarin also, i turned into starkraving bit*h. he took me off of them. i havent taken any kind of hormone since. i was barely 22yrs old then. good luck.

You should have had the surgeon leave your ovaries unless you had some medical problem that prevented that, then hormones would not be necessary. The dosage may need to be tweaked..hormones def. cause you to go nuts at times!
