I have bad breath even though I have EXCELLENT oral hygiene, why? ( I floss, brush after meals, gargle daily)?

Answers:
You probably have halotosis. Try finding a pill you can take that will stop this.

Other Answers:
Focus more on cleaning your tounge.

If you are on a diet or losing weight you could have Haliotosis. I think this occurs when your body is breaking down fat.

I'm not a dentist, but the people I work with who have this problem typically have this because they don't eat anything for breakfast..even if you brush and floss, all that "****" (good medical term) in your throat can be the cause of this.in short, swallow some food.

Try brushing your tongue and the roof of your mouth. It helps. Also, I gargle with Listerine *before* brushing. It helps to loosen up the plaque and kills bacteria, so that brushing is more effective. :)

some times, bad breath comes from your stomach, just go to the pharmacy and ask for stuff to cure that “I saw the product but I can not remember the name”

Go get checked out because there is something internally malfunctioning most likely your liver.

Take a look at the type of food you’re eating. And carry mints.

it also couldbe your gums. does it bleed? if not then it could be your stomach.when you get hungry and starv yourself it affects your breath. try it and you know what I mean.

Stay away from onions, garlic. Get a mild laxative and
cleanse your digestive system.

Yes you need to scrape your tongue but Walgreens seel this mouthwash that has clorine dioxide in it and it wipes out bad breath for half the day at least. It is call CloSYSII.

Volatile sulfur compounds are the malodorous gaseous compounds in the mouth known as bad breath. These same compounds are the facilitators that help damaging bacteria penetrate the epithelium (the skin inside the mouth) and attack the tissue connecting tooth to bone and eventually attack the bone itself. Along the way, inflamed and bleeding gums plus deepening periodontal pockets are created.

Long the enemy of the dental office, volatile sulfur compounds introduce unpleasant aerosols into regular dental procedures. This not only makes the job of the dental professional less pleasant but it can seriously downgrade the desired result of the regular exam and cleaning.

What is the solution to this infuriating problem? Is there a preventive treatment that can neutralize the volatile sulfur compounds, rendering them odorless and harmless?

There is. It is found in a system developed by a leading periodontist, comprised of a toothpaste and oral rinse which, when used together twice a day, can rid the mouth of volatile sulfur compounds, and leave the mouth fresh and clean all day, every day.

The system is CloSYSII, a patented formulation based on stabilized chlorine dioxide, which chemically alters and nullifies volatile sulfur compounds while eliminating the bacteria that work with these odorous compounds to attack gum tissue.
We invite you to embark on a new journey towards the highest level of oral health. The best tool to help you along this journey is CloSYSII Toothpaste and Oral Rinse. Alcohol Free CloSYSII utilizes chlorine dioxide (ClO2) as the active ingredient, proven to kill harmful oral bacteria and chemically neutralize the volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs) commonly known as bad breath. It’s these VSCs that are the byproducts of and a sure sign that the destructive action of gum disease is at work.

CloSYSII Oral Rinse and Toothpaste are clinically proven, Alcohol-Free and designed to fight the harmful, irritating bacteria differently and more effectively than other mass-market, alcohol-based mouth washes

It really might be what your eating

i had the same problem. asked my dentist and i have these white dots on my tonsles they are like puss pockets (gross) but they make breath smell worse than normal

Acid reflux can cause bad breath, if you get heart burn and stomach contents coming up your throat, you know that's not gonna smell good. Gaviscon is good for keeping the acid down where it belongs.

It's your diet. you need to eat better to see better results. Apples -whole wheat- fresh vegs -etc lay off the sweet snacks and oily foods
