Is SAUNA belts for tummy reduction a good option, healthwise, i feel it dehydrates and is not a good choice.?

Question:
Sauna belts are being advertised on indian television as an effective quick fix for tummy reduction. Does they really work or is it just to empty pockets. I am worried about dehydration due to localiased sweating. If someone has tried this let me know your experience. "Not the telemarketing guys please".

Answers:
The way it works is that it makes you sweat a lot. All you are losing is water weight that will come back after you eat or drink. You probably aren't in danger of dehydration, though.

The only thing they are really good for is if you want to lose an inch or two for just a short time, like if you're going to a party or something. Wear one for an hour or so while you work out, or wear it to bed.

Other Answers:
I have a sauna belt that I bought from AVON (since I sell their products) but it was made by Curves (the women's workout centers here in CA). So I use the belt while I work out and it makes me lose a lot of sweat. I think it is working. You can find low priced ones. I wouldn't buy any off of an ad on TV. Good luck!
