get something that means something to you. even if you cant dra come up with your own idea for your tat. the artists at the studio can draw your idea for you if you tell them what you want.
Im an artist and i drew a small versoin of my logo for my art so that i could have it as a tat. it turned out great and i love it. i have another tat that is also meaningful to me, i got it when i was single and added to it when i got married.
Do something that you feel represents you. if you do then you wont regret it ever. If you just go with something that someone else picks out for you or something out of the flash books then someone else could have your tat, and we know just how much fun it is to show up someplace wearing the same thing as someone else!

oh and dont worry about it changing to much with time. if its something you like you will like it forever. ( ive had two kids and neither one of my tats has changed. both are in places that stretched and they are just the same as when i got them.
Not a unique placement, but a unique idea? It really needs to be an individual thing. I got one of mine at the suggestion of someone else, and now I regret it. Make it original and personal to you. If you go to the tattoo artist with your ideas (assuming you aren't capable of drawing it) and they can conjure you up a visual, and take it from there. Not to mention, at the parlor, there should be thousands of images for you to look at to get ideas from.

from someone who has 3 one of which I regret don't ask anybody else for ideas look find a drawing that jumps out at you, has meaning or just design one what one person wants may not be the best idea for you and thats just a way to avoid paying alot of money for the lazer removal or getting drunk and cutting it off with a razor blade(one of my friends did that)
