Answers:
I think scheduled breaks are a must. I schedule all of the cna and licensed nurse breaks.
Our report used to be sitting around a table and hearing noc shift tell us whats going on, now we doing report while doing walking rounds.
I have things set up just the way I like them on my unit.
Other Answers:
A better ratio of nurse to patient. Less bl*%#y paper work. The Politicians, when admitted, being treated like all the rest of the "normal" patients so they can see what it's really like.
More nurses! I'm sorry, but scheduled breaks will not work on the floor. It's too unpredictable.
