This is not the least painful way its just the only way , you have to detox off of it gradually. It should take 21 days depending on how long and how much you have been getting dosed. Don't try to go cold turkey and what ever you do DON'T GO BACK TO USING.\\

Below starjessie something comments like I dont know that you are going to a clinic and so you wouldnt go cold turkey. Just because someone is going to a clinic doesnt mean that they wont try and stop going. I know because I many moons ago was going to the clinic getting dosed and tried to just stop going thinking that I was going to be alright. Boy was I wrong. I did go back and finished the program. And have been clean for 15 years. If you still have thoughts of getting high dont try to detox, avoid the risk of slipping back. With a little hard work you can have anything you want once you are clean. I know because I was able to start my own business. Nothing in life comes easy and there will always be hurdles in your way some you might be able to jump and some you may start to stumble on but before you fall think about where you prefer to be down in the dirt or at the finish line .

Let me tell you it is not easy my husband had back surgery and before they could do it they put him on methadone to help pain after a while he got immune to it and could not take enough . Methodone stays on the brain stems longer than any pain med there is. After his back sergury we spent several days at home with him crying and sweating and his body went into fight or flight and that is very scary my suggestion to you is to go and see a Dr. they usually want to put you in a inpatient place. My husband was successful getting off of it but now his tolerance for other meds. is high it is hard to find somthing to kill pain.

ifuonlyknew if he is on methadone then he he is a clinic and wont go "cold turkey".I'm in recovery i have gone thru this,yuck i just got the chill.do a blind dose.talk to your councilor some time they wont touch your dose for two weeks and may only talk you down by 5mgs. anyways alot of it is in your head.if we think where sick then boom were sick right? do the blind dose. good luck if you have more questions you can e-mail any time
