Have there been any clinical studies that show accupuncture works?

Question:
I know it is widely used but it is not accepted by the "normal" medical community.

Answers:
i'm not sure about studies proven but mt husband and son have both had it for various problems and it has cured them, really. it is not covered by medicare or blue cross here in canada so i guess that would mean no clinical studies have been proven, right. it was an oriental doctor that did them, one was male an one was female.

Other Answers:
There have been clinical studies that show it works, and also that it only has a "placebo" effect.

IF you are considering accupuncture, go to an American doctor instead of an Oriental one! For the most part, the American doctors study accupuncture in order to help people with their conditions, and Oriental ones bring it to the states to make money.
