NO

yep

Yes.. but it is extremely unlikely.

no

yeah!

Yes its quite possible. Smoking doesn't always end up in lung cancer. It has other effects as well. On the other hand even a person who never smokes might end up with lung cancer. Lung cancer can also be triggered by the pollution we live in.

it is possible

if that person is extremly lucky..

There's this old skanky grandma across the street who chainsmokes and plays lottery tickets on a consistant basis. She's gotta be 80 something, and she smoked all her life. I smoke 2 packs a day myself, and she'll probably outlive me. lol.

it depends on his luck.

Yes, comic/actor George Burns smoked cigars his whole life and died from natural causes at 100. Never got cancer.

yes. its all in your genes and how much toxins you were exposed to in your life.

yep you bet but you get more chances of getting it

Yes, anyone can get lung cancer smoking just increases your chances but does not guarantee you will get it

do you know that concer is not only came trough smoking do you remmember constantine film when he get kill himself by smoking it is like that you could die because of smoking or could die beacuse of the car that came trough you ;)

It's possible but he will probably have other problems like heart disease and other related diseases.

Probably, but I don't know anyone personally who got this fortunate. My uncle died after suffering 3 years from smoking all his life. He died at age 61 - too young.

definitely. and no matter what you do or don't do. no one escapes death.a lot of it is genetics and the rest is just bad luck. but when your times up.. its up.

Yes. My grandpa, my gramma, my mother, and you name it in my family smoked all their lives and lived well into their late 80's and nineties. It really just depends on the individual. Some won't get lung cancer, but they'll end up with emphysema or heart problems brought on or coaxed on because of the ciggs.

impossible,or if he just smokes a cigartte just once a day.

Both my Grandparents died of lung Cancer so yea it will catch up with you if you smoke!!

i've seen some 80 year olds with a cigarette hanging out of their mouths.. not a pretty picture, but i guess they are some of the lucky smokers. have you ever seen someone with emphazima (sp) on oxygen having a cigarette.. or the guy with a tracheotomy (sp) smoking through the hole in his throat. my mom died at 50 from smoking 2 packs a day, yet her 3 sisters smoke still today at 65. not a pretty picture though.

The statistics show roughly 50% of smokers will die early of a disease caused by their habit. Lung cancer is the most common, then heart and circulatory diseases, then other respiratory problems and other cancers. Smoking will aggravate all other problems you may have.
Genetics and other lifestyle factors make us all different whether we smoke or not, but you're pushing your luck if you ignore the stats. About 10% of lung cancer victims are not smokers, but some smoked for a short time in their teens, or have been exposed to second-hand smoke or have been affected by an underground gas called Radon.
