Why do palms of the hand and soles of the feet burn in some people?

Question:

The palms of my hands and the soles of my feet burn - specially if I am lying down. This is most prominent at night and noticebly more when my bladder is full. The veins in the palm of my hand also turn blue. Rubbing does bring relief. What could be the cause?
