most diets do the whole: no carbs, no calories, no this, no that. that is certainly the road to either misuse or failure. To stay healthy while dieting u must keep consistancy yet do not deprive urself. Indulge, but do it subtley, that way u will keep urself from craving and going all-out, because once u've done that, uv done nothing. ask friends for recipes they know are healthy AND taste good (yes, they do exist), and try different kinds of workouts. if u like working with other people, than try a team sport or try a class with other people, like kickboxing for example. if u like single things, try going to ur local gym, or go running in the mornings, (if u feel awkward, remember, nobody there started out the way they look, u can only get better); maybe ask a friend for motivation and company to come along as well. as far as diet, if u have trouble digging into ur favorite unhealthy treat often, remove it from the house, all except a little bit, and keep more body-friendly foods that u like instead; instead of chips, grab a bowl of grapes, etc. i hope this helps, good luck!
