How much warm-up must I do before jogging?

Question:
I'm referring to minutes. Well, not just for jogging, for any physical activity that requires warm-up. Thank you.

Answers:
I would tell you about 5 mins of stretching, then you can go ahead and start out jogging, before running.
And quick question for you.do you know of a good romanian to english translation page for free ?

Other Answers:
Normally 15 mins of warm-up is sufficient.

I do about 5 minutes of stretching, and then let the running stretch me out the rest of the way. If you are sprinting, its more important to get well stretched before starting, if you "ramp up" that kind of stretches you out in its own right. I personally have never had any problems, and I run some pretty good distances in decent times.

It's not a matter of how much should you do it's how you feel and your body. I would recommend maybe a couple of leg stretches and arm strectches then jog. This way you get your body ready to jog. However don't drink any water and jog because this cramps your body up!

dont know.how long it takes to stretch out and run for like a little

Do not stretch if you are cold

warm up to stretch

if it is jogging you can use jogging iteslef to warm you up by starting at a very light pace - once you have a mild sweat then you can do some light stretching and then pick up the pace of your running

if you are in the gym - 5 or so minutes of very easy work on a cycle or rower is a good warm up then stretch lightly

stetch more vigorously at the end of a workout when you are really warm

as a rule of thumb for any vigorous activity warm up gently until you have a very light sweat
