I got my belly button pierced a few hours ago and it's hurting bad to where i can't bend over. normal?
Question:
Answers:
Any time you induce trama on your body, you're going to hurt. It's your body's way of saying, "don't do that."

Yes I think this is normal, my daughter had her peirced a while back and it will hurt for a while, just keep it cleaned every chance you get or it will get infected.
Yes it's normal. Just take care of it like they told you too. You will be surprised how many times someone bumps into your stomach while you are healing. The belly button is probably one of the ones that has the hardest and most painful healing process.
Dear,,when u enforce sth unnatural to ur body,,it will reject it,,why the piercing? I bet u lo0ok fantastic without these painful things,,
Take it from me who has had my belly pierced. You maybe fine if its not to a point you want to cry. My piercing did not hurt that much until my clothes rubbed against it or when my nephew kick me in my stomach. You sound to me to be OK it maybe just because you just got it done. wait until tomorrow i bet it will be fine. it took my belly a lest two months to heal COMPLETELY:>}
I don't want to cause undue worry or concern, but piercings (ESPECIALLY of the abdomen) when done improperly, not cared for or done without respect for aseptic (sterile) technique can be quite dangerous. The most serious (and most common) complication is infection. Infections from piercings range in severity from simple skin infections easily treated with either topical or oral antibiotics to septicemia or sepsis, a severe acute whole-body infection of the blood stream. The latter is often fatal without immediate medical intervention.
Having said all of this and scared the crap out of you, I can not emphasize how important it is to SEE a doctor about this ASAP. While there is obviously pain associated with piercings (you sound familiar with this type of pain) the quality of pain you describe is quite alarming (more so to a doctor who can't examine you). Is there redness around the piercing site? Any fever, chills, vomiting or diarrhea? Please send me an e-mail with a better description of the course of events and your symptoms, etc.
One last time, you MUST see a doctor. Hopefully it's just a little soreness than usual - maybe a small skin infection. But, on the off chance that it is more severe, you have to have intervention early. Should an infection be brewing down there, the longer you wait, the greater chance you have of it turning into peritonitis, a SEVERE, often FATAL condition affecting the peritoneum (abdominal wall). Plese have it looked at.
Good luck,

It doesn't sound normal to me. I never experienced pain with mine. Reputable piercers encourage you to call or return to their establishment with any questions regarding a piercing. I would start there. And never be afraid to seek medical treatment.
