I find lying on the floor (back down) for about twenty minutes each day (in the evening) helps at first you have to arch your back because it is painfull to make it go flat straight away but after a couple of minutes it will be very comfortable. went to one of those back doctors, waste of time and money! Hope this helps

i go to an oesteopath but its expensive ! cheap way of relief is pilate classes . its all to do with yer posture!
get someone to give you a massage, pay them some money to do it for like an hour..

Personal experience.
Try getting a stim machine. May be a little expensive. This machine shoots electric currents into back muscle. Use it with heat prior to exercising. Once you finish exercising, use ice on your back. You can also opt to use the maching w/ice overtop the patch after working out. If you can't afford stim machine, stretch and heat muscle prior to exercise and ice back after exercise.

Stretch out your back, try laying in a tanning bed (One of my friends told me that. She said it worked), and you could try to go see uh.what are they called. Muscle people, work on your back? I think you know what I mean. A, uh, "specialist", I guess. Good luck with your back.
Seriously go to Yoga. Have a word with the instructor and tell them the problem. I had a few probs with knees and two months later they were virtually gone.

posture! sit up straight, when you turn use your shoulders not just your neck,support your back when you are sittin or lying down, if a new injury then try heat or ice which ever feels better and antiinflammatory drugs
Get checked with your doctor. It could be as simple as a weak back or it could be something major like a slipped or herniated disk. I would suggest going to the doctor NOW to eliminate the wondering.
I would also invest in a better mattress and pillow to support your back and neck.
