I'm begining my 2nd month a on Wellbutrin 300mg/day and nothing so far. How long does it take?
Question:
Answers:
Per web MD it should start to work in about four weeks. If you are in week 5 or 6 i would say to wait it out a little if still no effect and your in week 7-8 or beyond consult your physician.

Some medications take a long time to begin showing positive effects. When you say "nothing so far" what do you mean? Do you mean it has not affected any of the symptoms that you are taking it for? Ask your doctor how long it should take as well.

Jay is right. Either it just hasn't kicked in yet, or your dose is too low for you, or this particular medication won't work for you. I'd say wait another week or so, and then talk to whoever prescribed the medication.

I'm not sure really, my friend's took affect in about 4 weeks but everyone reacts differently
You didn't mention, but are you also getting some cognitive therapy in addition to your medication? Cognitive therapy is very important in addition to anti-depressant medications. The pills will not magically make you happy; they will ALLOW you to be happy, but treatment for depression MUST be a combination of medication and cognitive therapy. If you aren't getting both, you must look into it.
If you ARE getting both, then it is probably time to tell your doctor, and maybe try a new medication. Good luck.
