In my experience, drugs are always needed. I have worked with a couple of brave patients who were doing so well that their psychiatrist discontinued their medication. But, both were admitted to the hospital several months later. Because of the cognitive effects of the disease, its very difficult to treat using only therapy and I have never seen anyone respond to alternative medicines.

In my experience medication (anti psychotic, and mood stabilizers) are frequently used to inhibit the effects of the disease, I would like to read the article and see what new theories are being discussed
