Other Answers:
I am not really certain what exactly you are asking, but as the previous answer says, Melanoma is one thing that can be caused by having severe dysplastic nevii, or very abnormal moles. However, is it not the ONLY thing that has to do with moles. A mole itself is merely a cluster of melanocytes, coming from Melanin, which we get from the sun. Thereby, too much sun can lead to more moles, or more abnormal moles, and therefore a greater possibility of acquiring Skin Cancer. Skin cancer itself can be broken down into three categories: Basal Cell, Squamous Cell, and Melanoma, or the most deadly kind( I was diagnosed three years ago, and my mother just had the beginning stages of a Melanoma this year, so it can be genetic also).
