How to cure plugged ears while on the airplane?
Question:
Answers:
I live in France so I fly transatlantic a lot to visit my family in America. The best solution I have found is a product called "Earplanes". You can get them at the drugstore. They are not too expensive, I think, about 10 dollars.
They are earplugs that have a ceramic valve in them that regulates the airpressure outside the ear. You have to put them in about an hour before landing. Some people with severe problems (or a bad cold) put them in before takeoff.
Other Answers:
chew gum during take off and landing
1. chew something
2. pinch your nose with yr fingers, then try to blow the air thru the nose strongly at once
additinal:
3. swallow yr saliva more often
Best way I've found is by chewing gum. Another way is by holding my nose and blowing, forces my ears to unplug but careful cause I've heard the eardrums can explode this way (?) not sure but it works for me.
Your doctor can give you things to help with it too if it's too bad so give the Doc a call before you fly again.
chew gum, yawn.
chewing gum would be the best because chewing causes the movement of the chewing muscles and the jaw indirectly giving a massaging effect to the eustachian tube thus equalizing the pressure inside your ear. you can also massage with your fingers the area back of ears, below the bony part, to the front of the neck muscle. swallowing your saliva doesnt always work and pinching your noise and blowing it hard can be harmful if it were to be done aggresively. hope my answer helps
I think anyone would feel that a little bit.
Keeping your mouth wide open while the plane taking off and landing will hlep, although it doesn't look good:)
hold ur breathe
I just wait till it either lands and I just take it in for the whole ride or I go to the bathroom and blow my ears from there. I'll be standing up which is the best position to blow your ears for easy flow of oxygen. Remember just hold your nose a little, don't completely shut it close.
