I would like to offer you several suggestions:
Heat. The hot dry air produced by standard hand-held hair dryers may suffice to kill lice and their eggs on a person's hair. Use great care if you try this method, as the heated air from these devices can also easily scald the hair and the scalp.
If the person with lice is an adult, I strongly recommend bleachinig or dying the hair. The chemicals in the hair dye will kill those critters fast.
I also suggest you disinfect your entire house. Washing and drying (with heat) the pillowcases, sheets, nightclothes, towels. Soak all combs and hairbrushes in alcohol or Spray hairbrushes, combs with fly spray.
It is worth bearing in mind that natural chemicals, such as tea tree oil, can cause side-effects, such as scalp irritation.

A remedy for ticks and fleas on animals is brewer's yeast. You can get it from any health food store. It comes in tablet form. It should work on lice, too, but may take awhile unless you made a paste of it.You might also want to try clove oil diluted in a shampoo. Avon's SOS line of bath products use it and people find all kinds of pesky bugs are repelled by it.
Where can i finde information about emergency room procedures?
You can use a lice comb from most Chinese knick-knack stores of the traditional knick-knack stores where they sell a bit of everything. It looks like a wooden mini comb made of bamboo or wood, with with tiny, needle like sticks to comb out lice.
Lice combs are pretty effective if used together with certain methods of lice prevention.
1. Buy a lice shampoo.
2. Lice hate clean heads.
If you want to reduce the chances of getting lice, you should probably shampoo at least once a day. Lice don't like chemicals, so they might be less enticed to choose your head for a home if you've just washed your hair.
3.Don't share hats!
There's a big risk transferring lice from others to you!
4.Comb using a regular comb and lice comb!
You will comb out lice and this increases the chances of you combing out more lice! It will also reduce the number of lice eggs stuck to your hair by the lice.
5.Vacuum lice-suspect or infested areas!
It's the easiest and most effective ways to prevent lice to get onto your head through the suspected furniture areas. Throw the debris IMMEDIATELY after vaccuming so as to prevent them from coming out back onto the place.
6.Wash your bedding, clean your furniture.
Wash your sheets and bedding regularly in a washer and then dry them on high to make sure there's enough heat to kill as many of the little buggers as you can. Got this from another website - it recommends you IRON your sheets and pillows after the dryer treatment.
7.Lice love large groups of kids.
Since lice can only transfer from one human to another, it's best to keep an eye on kids at camp or in school. Check them once a week for lice, and if any are found, notify the school/camp/whatever immediately. Other kids may need to be treated.
Adding to the above,
you can try the following remedies as well (the full combing treatment and remedy is in the second link):
-Pour in a cup of white vinegar into a pitcher of water. Vinegar is also supposed to help loosen the eggs. Wash your hair out with the vinegar rinse and then with water.
-Wait a day, and then repeat the process, sitting down, putting in the conditioner and combing through the hair. You could be be surprised after the last comb-through that the little parasites are back, although if they are, they should be back in greatly decreased numbers.
Good luck.
