how to calculate my body fat percentage?
Should I have the flu vaccine?
Answers:
Usually you can get it done at a fitness center/gym. The best (most accurate) way is when they put you in a tank of water. The easier/more common way is that they weigh you and then measure your skin folds with special calipers and then look you up on a chart. (I think they take your height too.) That way can be less accurate.
Even when I was thin, I had large flabby arms (from being fat in the past), and the arms are one of the things they measure, so I'd show up as "obese" on the charts due to my arm fat when the rest of me was thin.
You can't use calipers on yourself; you need someone else to do it.
BTW, your BMI has *nothing* to do with your fat percentage, it's just your height and weight.
