Is it possible to catch any kind of disease from a tanning bed? If so, how can you prevent it besides not?
Question:
Answers:
Seriously doubt it. The tanning bed usually cleans after each patron. If you are worried then bring your own wipes(they make lysol ones). Also, the heat is probably enough to at least slow the growth of any bacteria. I don't think you could catch any disease though. Maybe just non-harmful germs. Germs that are already on your skin. So enjoy!

You could get skin cancer, that's for sure.
i know a girl who caught genital herpes on one. j/k. the only thing you can do is go to a reputable salon. and bring a spray bottle with alcohol and spray and wipe before you get in,
you should really ask a doctor or nurse this question
It's possible to catch ANY communicable disease (through skin or breathing). Also HUGE risk for Kidney Stones.take it seriously. They are NOT a fun thing to have.
To prevent it.use a tinting lotion. Jergen's makes a great one called glow. Just make sure you exfolliate well before using it :)
Tanning beds like any other uv light source (sun) can cause skin cancer after long exposure or frequent exposure. Tanning is actually a chemical reaction where your cells absorb the light waves and for lack of a better term "cook". Basically, its not healthy in any form. But if infection is your worry, don't, the bulbs are sanitized (or should be) before each use any the bulbs themselves would most likely render any germs, dead.
I know a guy who thinks he got herpes from a tanning bed. It's the only situation he was in where he could've come in contact with it (not through sexual means). They should clean it before you go in, but you could always carry some antibacterial wipes with you to clean it off just in case. Better safe than sorry!
Yes - I saw on a news program - that you could get some kinds of diseases and infections. It's important to always disinfect the bed before using!!
I'm sure it is!! Heck, people are laying in there naked!! And I know a lot of people aren't that keen on sanitation, and neither are the people who run the place, especially if it's one of those $4.00 tanning salons. Trust me, a friend of mine worked at one once and told us all to never ever go there!!
A good salon will have a bottle of sanatizer cleaner for you to use before you get in and after you get out.If they dont offer that then i wouldnt recommend laying in it.
