A contacts questions, please help!?

My one right eye crosses in a bit without my glasses on, but when my glasses are on, my eyes are completetly straight. My question is, can contacts make my eyes go completely straight? Thanks everyone.

if its the vision help that is making your eyes straight, then yes, i could see how contacts would help.but it would be very simple for you to also call your optometrist.they will have an answer for you for sure!

Are you violent?

Personally, I wear both. But as to whether your eyes will be straightened with contacts is for you to find out with your optician. Go to him/her to try out a trial pair for a few days, and see how it goes. Usually you see how you feel after wearing them, whether it feels more comfortable and gives you a relaxed vision.

Perhaps when you wear glasses they look completely straight because of the angle of reflection on the glasses. These don't happen with contacts, but what counts is your vision and how comfortable you are in perceiving.

Sorry I can't help further, in answering your exact question, but I suggest you go try on that trial pair.

ps. u said ur vision is fine - in that case, probably contacts might not correct that cross. because it is close to your eyes, and will not make much difference to the overall look. but it may still be worth trying, just to see the difference, ones with a very low prescription. Your optician will be able to recommend that for you.

mind you, there are contacts that correct 'astigmatism', which is different from how your eyes are.

What's the best way to fight a cold?

It's possible that your glasses have prism in them to straighten your eye out. Contacts can't have prism in them because they rotate on your eye and would never be positioned properly to align your eye. Since your vision is fine, but you're worried about the way you look, you might want to consider wearing your glasses full-time. If you really want to wear contacts, you can ask your eye doctor if vision therapy is an option for you. Some (but not all) eye turns can be treated with special therapy prescribed by your eye doctor.
