what is the best thing to do in order to restore full vision for short sighted people?

Question:
I am a short sighted man.I am 38.I usually wear my glasses and cannot do without them.I want to know if there are any SAFE operations e.g. laser or any eye exercise that can enable me to see clearly without my glasses?

Answers:
Laser correction (LASIK) is a good option for many people. Since you are approaching 40, you will most likely soon be needing reading glasses, too. The next time you see your eye doctor, ask about LASIK and the possibility of monovision (one eye corrected for distance and one for near) later on. You could also ask about contact lenses, which most people respond very well to.

Other Answers:
I know a few people who have successfully had lasik - the laser surgery - done.

There are some sort of glasses that look like collanders for your eyes but they are supposed to help exercise the eye and help to restore vision. I'm not sure if they work but they are available.
