can water relieve the asthma attack?

Question:

Answers:
Nothing will relieve an astma attach like an inhaler such as albuterol. I was reading today that you can sit down and drink 2 cups of reg black coffee and that will help a little if you do it at the first sign of wheezing. However once you are into an astma attack you really need an inhaler, nebulizer or the nearest dr/hospital

Other Answers:
relaxing can give some comfort, but water in particular will not - I repeat - WILL NOT cause the constricting muscles to relax and allow you to breathe normally.

~~Water in any form would never ever relieve someone from an asthma attack. I have no doubt about it. Water can make things worse sometimes which u cant even figure out!~~

Well, not water per se, but inhaling steam in a very hot shower stall can stop an asthma attack quite well. I have used this technique quite often for my daughter, who occasionally gets these attacks.
