i have been working out. i want to get toned. and lose alil weight in the process. i am average. 5ft tall and weight 125.

Protein is used for growth and repair of body tissues. If you eat more than you need the extra is converted into two things - one is excreted in urine, the other is built into fat (unless it is respired for energy).
Carbohydrates and fats in your diet are respired to provide the energy to power all the processes in your body. If you eat more than you need then the extra is stored as fat beneath the skin.
As someone else said, you really aught to be eating a healthy, balanced diet. Dietary supplements are entirely uneccesary.
