Do people with heart problems have a good chance of getting social security disability on their first try?

Question:
I have been waiting almost five months now and still no answer yet from the social security office. My doctor took me off work in October and my DX are: hypertension, mild aortic stenosis, bicupsid valve, tachycardia and peripheal edema. I am 30. Are the chances good that I would be approved?

Answers:
After doing some research, I don't understand why you should receive disability to begin with. From what I read, people with your medical conditions lead normal lives everyday.

Other Answers:
I have known very few people who got it without going to court. Most lawyers will take your case and take their money out of your back pay.You will get paid from the time you first applied.

Not if your a white male. forget about it.

It is possible with your health problem's.I hope you can.I think if you have a letter from your Dr. stating that you should no longer work because of your health. If you can call them to see if you can talk to any body to see if they can tell you what else you can do or how much longer will it be before you know any thing..Well good luck.Sorry to hear you are sick.Take care,
Karin

yes

Your young age is going to make it a hard fight. Good Luck
