Do you get sick when exposed to cold or air current/draft?

Does cold (weather) have any effect on ones resistance to diseases? Is it a wife's tale that being exposed to draft could cause diseases? I am fairly educated and aware of viruses and bacteria. I want to clarify if exposure to such conditions weakens the immune system. Thanks

How much does it usually cost to have PET scan in the Philippines?

Answers:
I'm an EMT and my husband is a Paramedic. We both agree that you have to be exposed to the bacteria or virus in order to get sick. Simply going outside in the cold with a wet head will not make you catch a cold. As far as the weather weakening your immune system, that's a question for a doctor or someone with more medical training than we have.

What is Vitamin B12 and what does it have to do with energy drinks?

how do you stop dry flaking skin?

I think that's an old wives tale/superstition. Why not ask your doctor? That would probably be the most convincing answer that your wife would believe.

What is somatitis?

no, cold air itself is not in and of itself likely to cause decrease resistance. It is your immune system that determines your resistance. My brother goes for walks all winter twice a day, and rarely gets sick. I'm talking northern weather..upstate NY. very cold, snow, etc.
