What are some good/not outrageously expensive stores in New York City to buy a prom dress?

I don't live there so I don't know but I'm not looking for a $5000 dress or anything - somewhat reasonable but still stylish stores.

Answers:
Go to a bridal shop, they have beautiful dresses, and most of them will keep tabs on who has what dress and from what school, so that only 1 person is wearing the dress.
