Full situps don't do much good and generally don't work out your abs very well.
Combine a bunch of different exercises and listen to your body as you do them. You will be able to tell (by the burn) which muscles you are truly working out.
For lower abdomen.lay on the floor and raise your legs (point the toes) about 6" off the floor.hold for as long as you can and let them down. Be sure to breathe.
For upper abs. do crunches.slow and controlled.do not put your hands behind your neck as your tendency will be to bend the neck.pretend you have a string going from your chin to the ceiling and raise your shoulders off the floor.use your stomach muscles to lift.not your arms or thighs.
Variations. twist crunches.raise and twist slightly to each side.
Bicycle leg lifts.same as before except when you hold your legs.pretend you are on a bike.
You can also stretch your arms forward as you lift your legs and try and get your fingers just past your thighs.pay attention to where your muscles are burning as this is the best indicator of which muscles you are actually working out.
Buy a work out ball and do cruches on it.
Play around with it and have it.many excercises you can make up on your own if you listen to your body. If you at any time feel like you are pulling something.stop. If another group of muscles is burning more than your stomach..modify what you are doing.

It depends on what kind of sit-ups you do. I do 50 to 100 a day and mine is tight but i do it slow and more on quality than quantity. I eat a lot too. But to have the 8 pack look, you need to lift weights, and work-out a lot with proper diet. If you feel pain, stop.
yes!1so do it if ur a sporty player?
I have worked with a personal trainer and did you know that 75% of your results will come from what goes into your mouth ( what you eat). so make sure your eating right and doing 30 minutes of cardio at least three times a week and that should help out alot.
not just sit ups!!
Short answer.NO!
Actually nearly everyone has 'good looking' abs. They're just hidden by layers of body fat.
Truth is you can strip away this 'fat' by monitoring what you eat and lift weights. Anyone in the fitness world knows you cannot spot reduce, so crunches (situps are dangerous!) alone will do nothing but shorten your abs, promoting a poor posture even.
In short "you are what you eat".

You can use crunch to make your abs muscle faster and better.
To make crunch, get a sit up position and pull your body up like you doing a sit up, BUT put your hands on your chest and stop when your body is at 45 degrees with a floor. Stop and keep this position about 10-15 seconds depends how big your muscle. At first, your body will be trembling.
