stomach ache? head ache? allergies?

Question:
what's the best way to get rid of stomach aches I drink chamomile tea it helps but is there another tea that helps I don't like pepto bismol(the pink medicine)and is there anyhting that's over the counter that works for allergies and head aches? what about just head aches tylenol doesn't cut it neither does advil.

Answers:
For me Aleve (naproxin sodium) also available under many store brand names works better for headaches.

If your stomach aches are caused by gas, Phazyme may be helpful.

If your stomach aches are acidic an antiacid, such as Maalox may help.

Mint tea may be more effective for what you are describing than chamomile tea. I think of chamomile as a calming, soothing tea not a stomach settler.

Why not ask the pharmacist to help you at any large pharmacy, such as Walgreens or WalMart? He or she can ask specific questions about how you're feeling and recommend over-the-counter products accordingly.

Good luck. Hope you'll be feeling better soon.

I have really bad allergies. Nothing OTC worked, I ended up going to an allergy doctor who put me on some medicines that really help. No more allergy headaches either!

As for stomach problems, you probably want to confirm with a doctor that it's nothing serious, especially if you get them frequently.

Someone who understands

I found out that I have a lot of food allergies which made all my symptoms worse.

Hay fever, headaches, stomach problems all get worse when I consume food that I have an allergy or intolerance to. Main ones being dairy, wheat and yeast.

I spent more than half my life (16 years) taking pills that treated the symptoms of my allergies but never did anything to treat the cause, until one day someone suggested it could be what I'm eating.

I have scared a few doctor with the amounts of pills I used to take. I would take the hay fever pills and migraine tablets and lie in a dark room because I was so sensitive to light which made my head worse and because it was summer I would eat ice cream and yogurt all day long. so of course my symptoms would just get worse and I would take more pills and so on.

If I were you, I would seriously look into finding the cause of all your problems.

My life has completely changed since I altered my diet almost 2 years ago. I take no pills at all. Not for hay fever, not for headaches or migraines, and not even for my stomach. I can even pat cats and not have a sneezing attack.

I drink peppermint tea regularly because it helps settle my stomach as I have IBS as well but that is it.

try some peppermint tea for your stomach ache. There are so many things in the pharmacy aisle for allergies, I can't list them all..Benadryl allergy is one. Aleve is about the only other pain reliever left for you over the counter.
