sutures have been in too long. How are hard to remove sutures removed?
Question:
Answers:
Don't go removing sutures on your own. That's just not a good idea. You should always keep your follow-up appointments. Anyway your doctor will want to examine the wound. Good luck.

I did my own my self. I do not reccommend it. Go to the Dr.s they will do it. It takes mere seconds or a minute or two depending on how many.
You can use a pair of tweezers and a small pair of scissors from a manicure kit. Or you can use nail clippers. Soak the area with a clean warm compress to soften any scabbing in the area. Clip the sutures close to where the knots have been tied. With the tweezers pull the suture out (from the knotted side). If you have a suture that has continuous suture line then clip at all of the knots prior to trying to remove any of them. They should just slide right out. Treat with peroxide and antibiotic ointment or the likes of.
if you do it yourelf, be sure to use rubbing alcohol to clean it before and after. It may be a little painful to get them removed if they have been grown into by the skin. See a doc.
