Can anyone help me with a paralyzed mother?
She has a tightness in the stomach and has the feeling of strings and balls on and in her hands (though she can't feel them) and like she's picking up pennies and combs. She has loss of breath when the tightness occurs and her lower limbs (which are not paralyzed) jerks profusely.

What? If her lower limbs are not paralyzed, then what part of your mother is paralyzed? What is the cause of the paralysis? Does she have some type of demyelinating disease? M.S.? ALS?
She needs proper medical evaluation and advice. This forum is not appropriate for your mother's problems. Please see her doctor, and if you are not satisfied there, keep trying other doctors until you are satisfied.
