What is the difference betweeen psychiatric and neurology?
I am always confused as per the difference between the two
Answers:
There is good reason for your confusion. While stereotypically psychiatrist solely specialize in mental illness and the treatment of such problems with medication, not all psychiatrist and psychologist are pigeon holed to this area. As science in these fields advances the line between psychiatry, psychology and neurology is narrowing. You can have depression, anxiety or any other emotional problem without central nervous system (CNS) involvement. And while neurologist still tend to only research and treat problems that can be directly linked to (CNS), psychologist and psychiatrist view the phenomena their treating as a part of this same system. In fact, there is a field that crosses neurology and psychology together call neuropsychology and psychneuroimmunology (which adds immune system functioning because research shows that there are strong relationships between these areas of study).

Apart from supposed appetite supression, is there any benefit to working out *before* eating?
I myself have dealt with Neurolgists, & Psyciatrists. I myself have epilepsy all my entire life, and have had to deal with the both for that reason.Neurologists there is the Surgical Neurologists & what I call "Desk Neurologists" they have a law at least up here in Canada disallowing Surgeons to do so after age 65yrs old. Albiet, the DESK ones can keep on going as long/old as they wish. Neurologists can work with Epilepsy, or ANYTHING that is incorrect in the brain. Giving to the patient, Medication or allowing Surgery to be performed.
Psycologists & Psychiatrists(sp?) work as well with the Neurologists on the same patient. Both of the latter doctors just work in healing from a desk with both just talk as well as allowing the patient to tell their overall problems in & with their own lives.
