how to handle post disease trauma ? TB?
hi all,
i had suffered TB around 2 yrs ago (treatment ended 1 yr ago). i am in love with a girl who doesnt (rather no1 knows) about my disease. i recently gave pre-employment test and was NOT found TB +ve in blood test, X ray. now that im already cured i would like to know if there is a chance of my girlfriend getting infected from me via close contacts, kisses hugs or anyhow.
should i back off my plans 2 propose this girl ?
co-incidently today is world TB day.
also off topic i'd like to knwo how many of u (females) reading this would accept some1 who's HAD TB but now is cured as their life partners.
ne doctor's / real life cases are most welcome

The following is a quote taken from http://www.health.org/govpubs/bkd173/18g.aspx
"A person who is infected with TB but who is not infectious poses no health or safety risk to others. The same may not be said of an individual who has active TB and is contagious."
Also, if it were me, and I were in love with someone, it wouldn't matter if they lost their limbs, or had cancer. There are people out there who will love you for yourself, and not for just your health.
