Rinse mouth and throat with salt water.

Warm salt-water gargles

it tastes terrible.
salt, honey, lemon & wheatgrass in water. make it thick. take small sips just to coat your throat. mix with whisky if you can.

Gargle hot salty water

Mix 2 Tablespoons of applecider vinegar with 1 Tablespoon of cold water, gargle, usually you can get 3 gargles out of this. Its not so bad going in but tastes horrible spitting it out. However the applecider vinegar will kill any and all bacteria in the throat tissue, even strep. Keep in mind when using this gargle that the vinegar also burns at the throat tissue so you do not want to use this more than 2 days, gargling once in the morning, then in the afternoon gargle with saltwater solution, and agian in the evening gargle with the applecider vinegar. This is very effective, especially if used at the onset of the throat infection. Your throat will for a day or so seem to hurt a little more, this is because the tissue has been burnt, but you will destroy the bacteria. Do not overuse this, if it must be used more than 2 days because the infection has settled in then use it back and forth with the salt water. I gargle with straight applecider vinegar, if you can handle it, it works best, but I dilute it with the Tablespoon of water for my children. My 20 yr. old who has moved out of the house still uses it because it WORKS. Hope you feel better soon.
