Here is a hard one ..concern. the brain?

Question:
I have been having severe spasams at night before and at sleep. I had a cat scan done at the ER. I am now waiting a see a Neurologist ( i have been referred ) this is what the report reads and no one will tell me what they think it may mean ( have to wait for neurologist because it's not their field ) . Here is how it reads 3 mm oval high density anterior to the right globe( Brain}.. I am not worried yet because it is small and I have know idea what it is. anyone have a clue ?? Thank, T.K

Answers:
The globe is definately the eye ball. What the density can be, I don't know. When is your appointment with the neurologist? When the radiologist I work for reads out a MRI, and he finds something abnormal, he will usually give examples of what it could be. It is called a differential diagnosis. Do you have a report from the radiologist?

Other Answers:
It might be a tumor (hopefully not) It is a good thing that you got it checked early. I think it means that the right side of your brain is slightly enlarged. Whether this is a serious problem or not I don't know. I wish you the best of luck.

"Globe" usually refers to the eyes. Try this website: http://www.ijri.org/articles/archives/2003-13-2/f&n139.htm and see whether it may be what's happening to you. It's really hard to tell w/o more info. Maybe this will help answer some of your questions while you wait to see the neurologist. Good luck.
