Question:

Answers:
yes!!

rather be safe than sorry. there might be one tiny part of rust that you cant even see on it. and one shot last up to 7 years so just do it and get it over and done with!

Other Answers:
it would be in your best interest to do so either way

I would unless you would prefer having lockjaw and eating through a straw the rest of your life.

It would be beneficial to you anyway. Tetanus could be on a non rusty tack but undetectable.

I would. Why take the chance, you could lose your foot! Or your life!

yes

I would rather be safe than sorry

Probably not, but like the other said, just get one anyway. Your tetanus shot should definitely be up to date, and i think it's good for 10 years.

Yes, the rust has nothing to do with getting tetanus. Tetanus is caused by the bacteria on the tack. It doesn't hurt to get the shot, just breathe deeply and let the air out slowly.

Tetanus bacteria tend to grow in crevices within the skin. Whenever you get a cut those areas become best for those guys to grow.

Rusted iron generally has more of such bacteria - so being cut with rusted iron has more chances to develop into tetanus --- but that doesn't mean other cuts don't have a chance.

Your doctor can evaluate what will be best for you.

But it is highly recommended to get that little shot.

Safe than sorry.

the best thing to do is have a tetanus shot every ten years, if you have had one with in the last ten years , your safe if not. well..better safe than sorry !

yes..and you need to stay up on your tetanus shot every at least 10 years.

No the only time you need a tetnus is if its been more than 7yrs since youve had one, or you a puncture wound by a rusty object or something that has a visibly noticible substance that could carry infection or bacteria. Or if you get bitten by an animal or human.

Better safe then sorry.
