pls tell me the steps of how to apply conditioners. when to apply, precautions if any etc?

AFAIK, conditioners are applied after shampooing, and rinse of after some heat submission to hair . but would like to have clear steps from the experts.

Use your shampoo as you would usually, rinse it out thoroughly and use your conditioner by putting a small amount onto the palm of your hand then applying it, lather, wait for 3-5 mintues (I usually soap up myself during this period), and rinse out thoroughly. Sometimes some shampoos say that using a specific brand of conditioner is best, but that usually means the same brand of shampoo and comditioner. There should be more instructions and details on the back of the bottle.
