hypothetical; my wife gets transfered from one hospital to another, i ask the dr. in the 1st hospital?

to explain a particulare procedure to the dr. in the 2nd hospital. he refuses, because he said he cant do that , tell the new dr . what to do . heres the question, is this legal reasons, doctors code, insurence porpose or lazzyness? hoping i can get a responce from a doctor or two.

it depends on your wifes condition ,what are the concerns or the risks,has her condition changed? and some doctor's are more skilled than others in some procedures,it could always be financially related to, also some doctor's have big ego's and don't like being told what to do.

If the 2nd dr. asks the 1st dr. he will tell him, as he has just asked for a consult. The reason he won't TELL him what to do, is because your wife is no longer his patient, and is not responsible for her. Maybe if you could ask the 2nd dr. to consult with the 1st?
