matching colors for my dates suit?

well i have a formal dance at my school comming up and my dress is a hott pink. i have been arguing with my date/ex- for days about what color shirt and tie he is going to wear. his suit is black and silver pin-striped.

any tie and shirt suggestions?

well since the suit is pin stiped then he should wear a silver shirt under it and a black tie the silver will really set off the pin stripes but the black tie will mellow it down a lilltle bit.
