In my caregiving job I have to be ready to jump at a moments notice..How can I remain calm?
Question:
Answers:
Breathe deeply every chance you get. Take with you a hobby you can leave at any time and then get back to it. Don't be so jumpy..Is your patient demanding or is your call to help them an emergency? Everything isn't an emergency! Slow down and that helps your patient, too, keeps them calmer. Experience.

There's this great stuff called Rescue Remedy. It's a natural remedy, and works great for me. I'm an EMT and with the high stress calls I just keep a little bottle in my bag and take a few drops. It's great for adults, children and I even know someone who gave it to her cat who was a tad highstrung. Herbal teas can also help, as well as warm non-decaffinated drinks, like hot chocolate. Good luck. http://www.bachflower.com/rescue_remedy.htm
